【R-17】是以一所女子高中为背景，描写17岁时期青少年内心黑暗面的呈现，中谷美纪在剧中则饰演学校的心理辅导老师，专门处理正值青春期的少男少女所发生的家庭、学校、社会等问题，由于近年来日本青少年犯罪频传，尤其17岁被认为是最危险的年龄，朝日电视台决定制作这部电视剧，讨论校园凌虐、拒绝上学、家庭暴力等主题，剧情则以女高中生所发生的事件为诉求，藉由心理辅导人员的角色来带出一个个青少年个案，是一部相当具有社会写实意味的剧集。
A new counselor at an all-girls school in Japan finds that her new workplace is a disaster area: not only are the students suffering through bullying, sexual harrassment, drug addiction and other problems, the teachers are having nervous breakdowns and the administrators don't want to hear a word of it. Number one on her problem list is a vicious sadist who also happens to be the headmaster's daughter. Will she be able to help turn the school around, or will she be crushed and spat out like her predecessors?
